If you’re into twinks and gay porn, you’re probably familiar with Blake Mitchell – the 22-year-old “Helix Studios” hottie with the famously big assets (we mean his trademark glasses, of course).
But what some of his fans don’t know, is that he’s bisexual, and has dated both men AND women. In a recent panel discussion, Blake opened up about being bisexual in the LGBTQ community, and the things he has to do when he’s with his straight buddies – as opposed to the gay ones.

The “Bi-Bi-Bi” panel was held last week by “LGBT In The News”. Other than Blake Mitchell, it featured actress Dalila Ali Rajah, Professor Heather Corliss and writer Ariel Vegosen, and was hosted by Thom Senzee.
Blake, who grew up in Kentucky before he moved to California to start his gay porn career, says he was surprised at how big the community in California was – when compared to his home town of 9,000 residents.

But being bisexual, meant that even in such a large community – he was still an outsider.
You’re never really gonna get accepted by either community [GAY or STRAIGHT], that’s why bisexuals have formed their own communities, kind of separate from both of them, and trans people as well – because there’s so much misunderstanding, that we have to come together to have our voices heard.
Blake also spoke about the different ways he behaves – and even looks – when he’s around straight people vs. gay people:
I have found that I do this as a defense mechanism – when I’m around my straight friends, I definitely act more masculine, more straight, I even dress differently or don’t do my hair, so I pass “more straight”.
But when I’m around gay people, I make sure I do my hair, and I wear a cute outfit and I might even act more effeminate than I would around straight people, and I do both of those things from the same defensive reasons of wanting to be accepted by each of those groups, knowing that if I just was as I am, a bisexual, I might not get full acceptance by either.
