By now it’s no secret that Brent Corrigan, (stage name of Sean Paul Lockhart) isn’t pleased with James Franco’s “King Cobra”, the movie supposedly based on his life. Yesterday, he took to Twitter to emphasize it again: “I explicitly made it clear that their story was heinous”.
“King Cobra” is based on events from 2007, when porn producer Brian Kocis (Christian Slater in the movie) was brutally murdered by two rival porn actors/producers, Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes (James Franco and Keegan Allen), in hopes of snagging Kocis’ studio star –  Brent Corrigan (played in the movie by former-Disney-star Garret Clayton).
Earlier this year, the real-life Brent already talked about his disdain for the movie and the script:
“These filmmakers didn’t care about anyone but their take on it all (and not getting sued). It doesn’t matter what A list celebrity is involved. The screenplay and content didn’t jive. I passed it up. “
Earlier this week, the steamy new trailer for the movie dropped, and the real-life Brent Corrigan was asked again on Twitter whether the movie is “true telling”. This was his response:
No true telling about it. Not approved by me. It tells a story with contempt for queer culture & mockery for porn. @DanielGrayWorld
