After starring in three Fifty Shades films, Jamie Dornan is probably quite familiar with S&M and kink.
But when he was about to film the first Fifty Shades Of Grey, Jamie decided some “research” was in order – so he joined “a dominant with his submissive”, so see what it all feels like.
Jamie Dornan, the 35-year-old who plays sexy billionaire Christian Grey in the films, spoke with The Irish Sun about his preparations for the role.
“I did quite extensive research. I went to watch a dominant with his submissive just to experience what it was like first hand and to see what the energy in the room was like.
What some people might think is sadistic, I saw as literally the opposite and the people were laughing a lot and having fun. I am very open to it and if that is what floats your boat, then more power to you.”
And since that wasn’t enough to make Jamie an expert – one was hired for him, on set. “We had a ‘kink advisor’ on set”, Jamie reveals, “and he was able to fill me in on the apparatuses so I would know what I was doing. It was an eye-opening experience.”
