Tim Bergling, the super popular DJ better known as Avicii, has died at the age of 28-years-old. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear at this point.
Aviciii was a DJ and musician from Sweden, who has been nominated twice for a Grammy award. His most famous track, “Wake Me Up”, was released back in 2013, and he has seen continued success ever since. Recently, Avicii released a single with Rita Ora called “Lonely Together”.
Avicii died in Oman, as TMZ reports, but the cause of death is unknown as of this writing. His rep released a statement:
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”
