Congratulations are in order, as Olympic medallist Tom Daley and his husband, filmmaker Dustin Lance Black, have announced the birth of their son, Robert (Robbie).
24-year-old Tom Daley and 44-year-old Dustin Lance Black got married back in May 2017, at the Bovey Castle Hotel and Golf Resort in the United Kingdom.
The two have also talked publicly about their wish to extend their family and have children, and back in February, they revealed they were having a baby, using a surrogate in the United States.
“We found an egg donor and we are the sperm donors”, Tom told The Times earlier this year. “We have fertilised half the eggs each. We put in a boy embryo and a girl embryo and we don’t know whose is whose. The next time we will do it the other way around.”
Today (June 30th), Tom and Lance posted a printed statement in The Times (just as they did for their engagement back in October 2015) –

The son, Robert, was named after Tom’s late father who died of cancer back in 2011. Tom and Lance have previously stated they were going to raise the child in London.
