After winning a Bronze medal last week, Tom Daley was hoping for a third one – but alas, that was not meant to be. Of course, it’s all about working hard, and sportsmanship, but… it’s also about chocolate, from his fiancé Dustin Lance Black.
During a live BBC interview before yesterday’s loss, Tom was seen getting a Kit Kat from Dustin, The Daily Mail reports. He then explained:
“Lance is meant to be giving me a little chocolate bar after the preliminary, the semi-final and then the final depending on if I get through…then I get a little treat.
This is what I’ve been waiting for. Basically diving at the Olympics is like training your dog…when you do well, you get a treat.”
Turns out it’s not all about lemon water after all. In the meantime, after yesterday’s devastating loss, Tom took to Instagram to thank his fans:
